Those high production values are apparent right from the opening screens of the game. The hentai artwork is sexy as fucking hell, so I got a boner within the first few seconds. The real story starts at Bunny’s house. She’ll be your guide, at least through the beginning of your HentaiHeroes adventure. The game is simple as hell to play, with no real learning curve to aggravate you or slow you down.

Most visual novels have a lot of dialog trees where you choose what you’re going to say throughout a conversation. Many of the Hentai Heroes scenes play out more like they’re on rails, with not much you can do to fuck with the storyline. The basic gameplay has you spending energy points to do almost anything, so be prepared to spend those just clicking through the talky parts. When you’re not spending energy, you’ll be spending money or other resources to advance the story.

Opening Your Package and Banging Your Girlfriend

In the first real scene, a package shows up at Bunny’s house. You’ll have to buy the package with some money, then spend some money talking to Bunny about it. You do level up during the chat, as your constant expenditure does earn you a constant influx of XP. After discussing it, you’ll have to spend some more money on a pair of scissors to open the box.

I was surprised I got to bite into the fruit without spending anything. It’s an ugly-ass, brain-looking purple fruit, but the thing has some kind of natural Viagra effect. My dick gets raging hard, prompting me to spend more energy to advance to the next screen. I don’t have a choice in this matter; often, the only way to move forward is to spend. Fortunately, resources are fairly plentiful, at least in the beginning.

Life ain’t all sunshine and sex in the world of Hentai Heroes, though. Just as I thought I was about to give Bunny some of my newly enhanced ding-dong, some angry motherfucker shows up at the door with a smirking redhead behind him. Turns out I ate his dick fruit, but is that really my fault? It showed up at Bunny’s, and as far as I know, didn’t have his name on it.

The dialog is some straight-up anime goofiness. I kept expecting this dickhead to say his power level was over 9,000. “Here we battle against our enemies by comparing sexual performances with our girls!” he shouts, face twisted into a scowl and fist clenched in the air. “My harem features 12 of them! Can you say the same?” Not yet, fuck face, but I’m working on it.

So Many Anime Sluts to Unlock

I still had most of the coins I started the game with, so I spent a bunch of money buying gifts for bunny. Some books made her Experience level go up, and some chocolates and panties lifted the Affection level. Once I reached level two of Affection, she ditched her schoolgirl outfit for a swimsuit. As I get in deeper with her, more clothes will come off.

Bust Out the Wallet or Nah?

HentaiHeroes.com almost seems like a perfect game. The gameplay is straightforward and addictive, driven by all the top-shelf hentai content you unlock along the way. So, what’s the fucking catch? It’s gacha, baby! Isn’t it always in these situations?

You spend resources to do anything in the HentaiHeroes universe. Naturally, these resources are limited in the game, but you can buy some if you’re willing to bust out your real-life wallet. Those gifts for the girls can get expensive, for one thing, and you always need energy. I didn’t end up paying for anything, though, and I still had a fun time playing the game.

Because there’s so much to do in HentaiHeroes, I didn’t feel like those in-app purchases really crippled the game. Whenever I ran into a roadblock, I simply diverted my attention to other parts of the adventure. I bitch about gacha in porn games, but these guys have done it right: money will unlock some perks and unspool the storyline a little faster, but it doesn’t really mess with your enjoyment too much.

I play a shit ton of porn games, and I can say without exaggeration that HentaiHeroes.com is one of the best when compared to other adult visual novels and dating simulators.
