Lewdest Labyrinth

Lewdest Labyrinth is one of the few modern retro porn games that actually brings something new to the table. Normally, when I see a retro porn game it means it’s made in RPG Maker and the developer didn’t bother to make any original assets for the damn thing so he just imported a bunch of default assets and called it a day. Well, that’s not the case with Lewdest Labyrinth. This is a proper original porn game with a bunch of high quality content. On top of that, even though it came out as a demo a few years ago, he did in fact finish it so you can currently buy a complete version of this game and play it from beginning to end. How many porn games boast that kind of hard work? Very few. Your average indie porn game these days is stuck in developer hell. Lewdest Labyrinth started out as some sort of game jam title. That’s exactly why it initially came out as a tiny demo. But, even then, the game clearly had potential. I mean, it had a ton of gameplay the very first day and it was completely playable. There were no bugs, the graphics were complete, the menus worked. The game was a finished product even as a first version. Now, the whole damn vision has been wrapped up and the developer is no longer working on it. I’m glad to see any porn game make it to the end of development and Lewdest Labyrinth is one of those games that is absolutely worth playing, now that it’s officially done.

Back to the Maze

So it’s a retro game. What does that mean exactly? Well, if you’ve ever played the original Wolfenstein or maybe Maze War from 1973, you’ll be familiar with this approach to 3D gaming. Yes, I said 3D gaming. Back in the 70s some random shmuck from the US made a game that let you explore a three-dimensional maze, by moving forwards and turning left and right. Wolfenstein was heavily inspired by this approach. It did roughly the same thing. There was also a Microsoft Windows screensaver that had the same effect. Well, fast forward to 2017 and this whole maze-like 3D design is now a bygone staple and everyone knows exactly what it looks like. It also makes things really easy to code, because we know how to make a maze game quickly without a lot of hassle. There’s no need to reinvent the wheel. So, when our dear developer set out to make Lewdest Labyrinth, all he had to do was make some quality 3D assets for the maze, some even better 2D assets for the smut and a few menus here and there to pull it all together. Just like that, Lewdest Labyrinth was born. This game is literally just a maze exploration game with a bunch of RPG elements and a ton of smut scenes in-between, to reward you for all of your hard work.

Exploring Dungeons and Shit

To be fair, the dev behind Lewdest Labyrinth did a bit more than just throw in a random maze generator and call it a day. He actually developed a really neat RPG system that makes you want to play the game. You’re constantly encouraged to press on and not just by the promise of sex scenes. First of all, you do not get sex scenes as a reward for getting downed. That’s poor porn game design. No, you get the sex scenes as actual rewards at key points in the story. Now, I say story, I mean main quest line. You go through the dungeons and try to find certain objects like keys or magical orbs. I wasn’t paying a lot of attention to what the bottom line was, but it worked really well. I knew what I was working towards. While you look for items through these dungeons, you get chased by monsters that are trying to beat the crap out of you. I don’t know why they’re so keen on violence towards women, but there it is. Maybe they’re incels. Anyways, you find random items and collect them and if you get caught by an enemy you have to duke it out, turn-based style. This part of the game should look very similar.

Turn-Based Combat

This is where the RPG elements sort of come full circle. You have a bunch of options like striking the enemy, yelling for help or defending yourself. You can also try to run away. You’ve already seen this shit in Final Fantasy, I’m not going to explain it again. While you are going through the combat, you can see your character on the bottom left and the enemy on the right of the screen. There are some neat combat animations, especially for your playable babe. She’s a real cutie. The longer the fight drags on, the more naughty bits you get to see. She’ll have her clothes knocked off, she’ll get captured by tentacles and hell, she’ll even get straight up raped. But, you don’t get these scenes as a reward for failing, you get them for playing through the combat longer. So, in other words, you have no reason to try and fuck yourself up on purpose. I like that in RPG porn games. I don’t want to have to think about whether I want to live or fuck. I want both, damn it. Plus, there are tons of unique sex scenes that are unlocked by winning combat and progressing through the game. So, the combat is constantly pushing you forward. It never really gets old, especially not during your first playthrough. As for whether this game is worth replaying, I’m not sure. You might enjoy it your second time around, but it’s likelier you’ll just stick to the gallery and watch your unlocked scenes that way. The game keeps track of all of them so you can keep rewatching them without having to actually play.

It’s a Fun Game

What I like about this game is that it’s super-original. I mean, sure, we’ve seen other games in which babes go up against monsters. Whether it’s a Metroid-clone or something a bit more original, the concept of women versus tentacle monsters is probably as old as The Iliad. This is antique shit we’re talking about. But, a mixed 3D/2D dungeon crawler with cute graphics, tons of smut, proper RPG elements and first person gameplay? Yeah, we don’t see that every day. Hell, first person gameplay in general is such a rarity in porn games that you only really see it when there are pre-rendered graphics. Actually navigating a game world in first-person is very rare. As for the cute style, well, I gotta say, it grew on me pretty quickly. At first, I felt like I was playing a kids’ game. But, the second this bitch’s clothes started flying off, I knew I was in for something hot. Sure, she looks like a cartoon character at first, but as shit gets progressively hotter and you realize that her holes are ready to take the mightiest of tentacles, well, you grow to appreciate her. What can I say? She’s hot, she’s blond and she’s ready for action. Plus, she’s a bonafide badass. She can pretty much beat down any and all enemies that stand in her way. She doesn’t use weapons either. Sure, you can pick up items that make things easier, but for the most part, this babe is just throwing punches. So, whether she’s combatting bats, slimes or tentacle monsters, she’ll punch for her right to protect her pussy. And, through it all, she’ll get dicked just the same. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a porn game character get raped and return to combat with a smile on her face quite this quickly before.

It’s Worth the Money

This game started out as a free demo when it was a game jam product, but for a couple years now it’s been a completed product that you can actually buy. So, I crunched the numbers for you. The gameplay is really long, but the actual unique sex scenes last for a total of 40 minutes, end to end. So, if you jack off around 8 minutes at a time, that’s at least 5 quality faps you’ll get out of Lewdest Labyrinth, without rewatching content you’ve already seen. At a price point of $9, that’s just under $2 a fap. Not a bad deal if you ask me. You can also think about it as 22 cents per a minute of high quality fapping to wonderful 2D rape scenes. Yeah, it’s pretty much a no-brainer. If you want to play something exciting, new and original with quality H scenes and proper RPG elements, give Lewdest Labyrinth a shot. You won’t regret it. I can guarantee that much.
