Finding adult video games online can be relatively easy, but locating a single platform that hosts several quality ones can be difficult. It can be even harder to find such a website that hosts them for free and won’t weigh your hard drive down with spam delivered malware.

And from what I’ve heard from some of my readers, it can be damn near impossible to get access to a site which has that hat trick which includes games for and about gays. However, as part of my mission to document and recommend all of the best porn games and where to find them, I’ve got a platform that hits all of those criteria: Newgrounds.com.

Just Where Did Newgrounds Come From?

While this platform has been blowing up over the past few years, it has a history that goes back further than you probably know. Founded at the dawn of the internet circa 1995 this platform was used to host a few early computer games and also served as a testing ground for experimental software like early versions of Flash.

Following the Dot Com crash, the site suffered a revenue loss and nearly went under. However, in a strange moment of famous internet serendipity, the Numa Numa Dance phenomenon was uploaded to this platform and helped saved the whole franchise.

As the 21st century went on, so did Newgrounds, and the webmasters allowed for even more musical, video, and video game uploads to be added in all sorts of genres. Among these include adult video games and, more recently, those of the gay variety.

Their Selection of Games Is Decent

Through the Adult Gay section, you get a range of games to pick from both in terms of genre and art style. However, they are all well made though the length of gameplay varies quite a bit.

For example, one of the games I’ve reviewed on this site, Gay Harem, is packed with hours of playtime. However, quick masturbation simulators like FFX Wakka’s Solo will last you a couple of minutes at most. Weirdly, that game has gotten a lot of feedback, more so than some of the others I’m going to go over.

In the interest of giving you guys an idea of what to expect, I’ll do a quick rundown on some of the games which I haven’t talked about before and make a few recommendations.

Gay Dreams: Pizza Delivery

Based on a major porno cliché, this surprisingly detailed game places you in the role of a bachelor who’s got to much time and is bored as hell. What is the solution? Why order a pizza and seduce the delivery guy.

The gameplay and “story” doesn’t go much beyond that, but once you get through some somewhat superfluous dialogue, the action begins. From that point on, the entire game focuses on pleasing you lay in a number of different sex acts and positions.

Ywag World Adventure

Wow! This delightful cartoon-style game is so good I don’t care what your orientation is, but this game is fucking beyond awesome. It is a little slow at the start, but give it enough time, and you’re in for a fun and raunchy time.

Besides the sexy stuff, there are loads of off-color jokes, hints dropped as to how to advance the story and other neat details which make this game exceptionally, well, exceptional.

Being a near-perfect game, this knockout experience is highly recommended by me.

Erotic Visual Novel: Stranded

I’m not entirely sure why this is, but adult visual novels are common when the characters are mostly or wholly female and present lesbian relationships. Whether they are heterosexual, gay, or trans, other explicit games tend to be far more focused on heart-pounding gameplay and genital arousing erotic visuals.

However, if you look around the net enough, you’ll find some well-written, gay-themed interactive novels like this one. Unlike other visual novels, you get far more options to explore the story in a non-linear fashion, which is a nice take on this genre.

The art style is edgy yet erotic. Unfortunately, there is some censorship of the nudity and no sound. Still, the cryptic sci-fi story is engaging, and anime fans, bara ones, in particular, will love going through this digital adventure.

Gay Game: Kitchen Fever

While not really a visual novel, this game is kind of similar. In essence, it’s a dialogue-driven dating simulator that puts you in a world full of attractive gay men.

Each of the guys you can potentially seduce has a different temperament, so you’re going to have to be careful how you navigate dialogue trees. If you do it right, though, you’ll soon be doing it with said gentlemen.

Keric’s Komplex (series)

This is a far more traditional, linear interactive erotic experience. However, that does not mean that you should skip this one over. In fact, Keric’s Komplex is one of the most legendary gay games out on the net and has been famous for almost a decade.

Further, the art style is not only fantastic but entirely unique compared to any other game I’ve reviewed. Like the music, the story is campy but still engaging. There’s plenty of suggestive sequences, and the story is peppered with erotic minigames, which lead into some steamy scenes.

In fact, if some reviewers are to be believed, you may even cum hands-free while playing.

FYI for some reason, it’s not found in the Gay Adult section, but Newgrounds does host chapter one of this series. You’ll just have to search around the site for it.

But when it comes to ratings, don’t take my word for it; look up the feedback for yourself. Just like mainstream social media/entertainment websites, each game has a comments section and even a five-star rating system. Most games have loads of feedback and will give you a good idea of what you’re in for before you begin.

Here’s How Playing On Different Devices Go

I was honestly a bit confused when it comes to looking at this platform across net-capable machines. The reason being that the site looks just about as good on mobile devices as the desktop version, but that does not always mean that games will run across all machines.

For instance, some titles like Kitchen Fever will run just fine on say iOS laptops and desktops so long as your Flash drive is up-to-date. However, this game is not compatible with iPhone mobile devices, which is a bit of a bummer.

I Think There Are Things to Be Enjoyed

The main titles I’ve talked about are all of high-quality and have a great mix of play mechanics, graphics, music, and (sometimes) story.

I’ll get onto this in the next section, but there are even more games than those I talked about and the dozens you’ll see on the Adult Gay section. Some of them include Yaoi Game – Find Your Goy, an anime-inspired title, and even titles banned from Steam such as GAY NATION, which you’ll find nowhere else.

Some of them aren’t as good as the other games I’ve already talked about, but they are decent time wasters if you’re bored, horny, or both.

One thing I’ve found about Newgrounds, which is much appreciated, is the lack of adverts. Unlike so many other game hosting sites, pornographic or mainstream, they don’t attempt to greedily blast you with commercial banners posted all over the place. Further, I’ve never had a problem with redirects or popups, either.

But Not Everything Here Is Perfect

While there is a silver lining to it, another problem I have with this site is the fact that you don’t get access to all of the gay games through any one method.

So, if you click on the Gay Adult section, you’ll see a mere dozen results. If you do a search on Newgrounds, you’ll get twenty hits, some of which include gay games not seen in the aforementioned section but also several other irrelevant.

To make things even more strange, if you use Google and plugin, let’s say, ‘newgrounds games gay,’ you’ll get several new results. These include games which you don’t otherwise see through the other two means of searching around for games.

Honestly, I wish I could recommend one, but to get the best way to get the full spread of same-sex oriented games is to hunt around using all three methods.

On that note, I think this is one of Newgrounds’ most significant weaknesses and needs to be addressed. But to be fair, this does mean that there are far more gay games on this platform than meets the eye.

Another issue that needs to be addressed is the mobile compatibility problem. Again, I find it bizarre that there was an effort put into optimizing the site for mobile devices, but games often don’t run on them.

Lastly, you may have to play with your browser settings when gaming to get all of the visuals to fit entirely onscreen. It’s not a big deal but will probably – depending on your screen dimensions and preferred browser – require you to resize things.

Wrapping Up My Final Thoughts

I’ve got to say that queer games aren’t exactly my thing with all of these things considered. However, I can be objective enough to have an appreciation for these games and the way they are presented on this platform.

It can be a pain to attempt to find them all, but if you are looking for a safe place to find free, quality gay games, this is the place to go. With that endorsement, I think that out of my scale of five, Newgrounds gay games selection gets four hands.
