Alright you yiffing furry cucks, it’s time for you to don your cum-stained fursuits and strap yourselves in for a wild ride. I’ve got yet another fucktastic furry game for you to rub yourselves raw to. I know, I know, there are tons of furry fetish games out there. What makes this one different? Well, if you’d calm down and wait for a goddamn minute I’d tell you. I really wanted to find an ambitious project this time around. In the realm of furry games, there are loads of sex simulators, text-based games, 2D RPGs, and all of that regular shit that you’ve fapped to again and again. I wanted to find something different that would knock you fucks back and blow your minds.

It took quite a bit of searching, but I came across a game called Shades of Elysium. It’s an anthro adult RPG set in a modern world where you find and meet hot, interesting babes. There’s a lot more to this shit, but I’ll dive into that here in a second. What you horny gamers need to know is that this game started development way back in 2017 by a dude known as Khralzar. This cuck has been plugging away at this game at a fair pace, but it’s still been slow going. This ambitious Unreal Engine game is still only on pre-alpha version 1.6.2 as of August 2020.

Pre-alpha isn’t quite as far along as I’d like to see a game after 3 or so years, but, again, this is a huge project for a solo developer. I’ll commend this dude for sticking with this shit for so long. If you want to play this kinky game, then you’ll want to head on over to Patreon.com/Khralzar. There you cheapskates can give the experimental demo version of the game a shot for free. If you want the latest updated version, then you’ll have to dish out 3-10 bucks a month for that premium access. Though I highly recommend giving the demo a shot first to see if this shit is for you.

The story is pretty loose in the game’s current state. You play as an anthro furry chick or dude who has just moved into a new city. You’ll want to find a way to make money, meet babes, and live your life. There are no pressing goals right away. Hell, you don’t even need the money that much yet. That’s a good thing since I couldn’t really find a place to work. You’ll only need dosh for buying drinks or items, and the game starts you with a fair bit of pocket change. But I’m getting ahead of myself here, let’s circle back to character creation.

Make Your Dream Fursona with an In-Depth Character Creation Tool

It’s pretty fucking rad. Right off the start, you can see that the character models are nice as fuck. You can pick between a few species of character and decide if you want to be a kinky slut or a hung alpha male. But those are just the first few options. You can modify your color scheme, fur pattern, dick/tit size, eye color, hair/horn color, and all of that good shit. It’s a fairly robust character creator that really sets the bar for the rest of the game.

You get what initially appears to be a large town to explore after making some small talk with your new neighbors. You do get some dialog options here. You can be flirty, nice, or go for being an all-out asshole. It’s up to you. How you act here might very well determine how receptive your neighbors are to your advances in the future. Unfortunately, this city isn’t nearly as big as it looks. I was hoping for a lot of free-roaming and exploration, but you can only travel to maybe half of the locations labeled on the map in the current state of the game.

Expect Dead Ends, Empty Areas, and Unfinished Dialog Paths

You’ll come across some entirely empty locations, dialog paths that don’t lead anywhere, and lots of stuff like that. I get that this shit isn’t done yet, so I won’t give it too much shit. It’s still a very solid looking game with a promising foundation to expand on. Just don’t come into this expecting a fully fleshed-out title with loads of avenues to explore. You can study and go to the gym in the city, but the stats aren’t too important yet. Stamina, lust, and health will be displayed in the top left of the screen, but you don’t have to worry about any of those bars too much.

Solid Writing & Loads of Dynamic Characters

Your main source of the story, characters, and entertainment will be the town’s nightclub. That’s where you can free-roam and talk to all of these hot anthro sluts. Some will bend over and let you rail them right there against the pool table while others will make you work for it a bit. Each character is fairly dynamic. The solid writing style certainly helps flesh out these characters and the surrounding world. Some of these babes are going through some pretty heavy shit, and you can decide if you want to step up to the plate and help them out.

Uncensored, Fully-Animated Furry Sex Scenes

On a happier note, this game is full of kinky content. There are so many sluts in here that embody different fetishes. Expect gangbangs, footjobs, facials, anal, and even some light femdom if you like in the right places. It’s got a little something for all of you horny furries. Shades of Elysium has a damn good foundation. The developer has set themselves up for greatness with this shit. The graphics are fucking insane. The colors pop, and the whole world is full of detail and realistic lighting. It’s not often that I see a porn game bust out Unreal Engine. This is going to be a fucking powerhouse of a game when it’s all said and done. You can say a lot about this game, but dated-looking is not one of them. This shit will look amazing for quite a few years to come.

There’s no fucking sound in this game until you get outside to certain locations. I don’t fucking get it. I was so surprised that I nearly fell out of my chair when the nightclub music came blaring out of my speakers. They really need to consider adding some chill background tunes during the start of the game. It doesn’t have to be anything crazy, but anything at all is so much better than the eerie silence that’s currently there. The audio mixing felt off in general. I had to really turn my speakers up to hear anything in the forest area, but then there’d be other sounds that would shake my goddamn walls.

There are also some general optimization issues and such. The nightclub got pretty jumpy and dropped a lot of frames for me. I’ve got a beefy PC, so hardware certainly wasn’t the issue. I’d definitely like to see them focus on things like that going forward. Really cleaning up the general feel of the game will go a long way in attracting new players.

Overall, Shades of Elysium is a promising title. It’s not a must-play in its current state, but this game is well on its way to being one of the best damn furry games ever made. Sure, it’s got bugs, framerate drops, and a few other issues to hurdle. But I’m pretty damn sure that they’ll have this shit polished up by the time it is fully released. After all, they’re definitely taking their time to make sure this is done right. I can respect that. I highly recommend checking the demo out and keeping an eye on this ambitious project as it goes forward.
